Chiara Issa, Commercial Underwriter – Strategic Brokered Accounts at Euler Hermes, spoke with Jujama about her experience coordinating the app development at the 2018 North American Broker Conference. 

  • What is the origin story for the North American Broker Conference?  

Every two years, the Euler Hermes Broker Team has a conference with events for our broker partners to thank them for their business. This year’s conference was held in Washington, D.C., and we chose Jujama to develop an application for our attendees to use. 

  • How did you personally get involved being the Commercial Underwriter – Strategic Brokered Accounts at Euler Hermes? 

My role in the event was to coordinate the app development with Jujama and to be the “go-to person” for any app related questions and functionality.  We used the polling function during our presentations, and I was responsible for making sure everything worked properly. 

  • What value do you aim to deliver to the attendees of your conference?

We wanted the app to serve as an easy access point for all information relevant to our conference. It allowed our attendees to quickly check the conference agenda, receive alerts, view the speaker bios, access the presentations, view the floor plans, upload pictures to the social feed, and answer polling questions. 

  • What is one of your favorite outcomes or success stories from any of your events?

A major success story was the polling. During the presentations our speakers asked the audience polling questions which were answered using the app. Everything ran smoothly and it added value to our event. The polling feature engaged the audience and made our conference more interactive. 

  • How has Jujama’s services impacted the experience of your conferences?  

The associates at Jujama were a pleasure to work with to customize the app for our needs, and they made sure everything was set up properly. Jujama made me feel more comfortable and confident that I was prepared to run the app when the conference began (I have no technical background). They will be our first pick for future app needs.
